Description

A simple and delicious dish combining tender chicken with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for appetizers or main courses.

Ingredients

  • ½ lbs Boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch, for coating
  • ½ teaspoon Salt, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil, for cooking
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken cubes dry with paper towels. Toss the chicken in cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly coated.
  2. In a large skillet, warm olive oil over medium-high heat until hot. Add chicken pieces in batches, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat and add minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking and a nice sear. Use quality ingredients for the best flavor.
