A sweet and salty treat made with pretzels, buttery caramel, and chocolate, perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of pretzels
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 2 cups of chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of M&Ms (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the pretzels in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring until combined and bubbly.
- Pour the butter mixture over the pretzels, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
- Allow the chocolate to melt for a couple of minutes, then spread it evenly over the pretzels.
- If desired, sprinkle M&Ms over the top before it cools.
- Let the mixture cool completely, then break it into pieces and enjoy.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and don’t overbake to avoid burning the caramel.
