Description

This easy banana bread is a delightful treat that uses overripe bananas, making it naturally sweet and incredibly moist. Perfect for breakfast or a snack!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1-1/2 cups mashed bananas (approximately 3-5 bananas)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a larger mixing bowl, add the sugar, oil, eggs, and mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the banana mixture. Stir just until combined; avoid over-mixing.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For best results, choose ripe bananas, don’t over-mix the batter, and allow the bread to cool before slicing.
