Description
Effortless family dinners with tender chicken in a delicious teriyaki sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup bottled teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 piece bell pepper, sliced
Instructions
- Place the boneless chicken breasts or thighs at the bottom of your crockpot.
- In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir until well mixed.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Gently add the pineapple chunks and sliced bell pepper on top of the chicken and sauce.
- Cover your crockpot with a lid and set it to cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once done, shred the chicken with two forks and mix everything well. Serve over rice or noodles and enjoy!
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for safety. Feel free to add more vegetables for added nutrition.
