Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (prepared)
  • 1 cup beef broth


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery to the skillet and cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer the beef mixture to the slow cooker and pour in beef broth.
  5. Add frozen peas on top.
  6. Spread the prepared mashed potatoes over the mixture evenly.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or until heated through and flavors meld.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For a healthier twist, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or a meat alternative. You can also add more vegetables like corn or bell peppers to the filling.
