A hearty and comforting casserole combining frozen pierogies, kielbasa, and creamy toppings, cooked effortlessly in a slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 1 package frozen pierogies
- 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Layer half of the frozen pierogies in the slow cooker.
- Add half of the kielbasa and half of the onion.
- Spread half of the cream of mushroom soup over the top.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over everything.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 240-360 minutes or until pierogies are heated through.
- Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
For better texture, thaw the frozen pierogies before layering. Use high-quality kielbasa and cheese for the best flavor.
