Description

A hearty and comforting casserole combining frozen pierogies, kielbasa, and creamy toppings, cooked effortlessly in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen pierogies
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Layer half of the frozen pierogies in the slow cooker.
  2. Add half of the kielbasa and half of the onion.
  3. Spread half of the cream of mushroom soup over the top.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over everything.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 240-360 minutes or until pierogies are heated through.
  7. Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper before serving.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For better texture, thaw the frozen pierogies before layering. Use high-quality kielbasa and cheese for the best flavor.
