Description

A delightful dish that combines tender chicken with a creamy, flavorful sauce inspired by Italian cooking, perfect for cozy dinners or date nights.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing garlic

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by gathering them on the counter for easy access.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic in a bit of olive oil until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken in the Crock Pot; add the sautéed garlic, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Pour the heavy cream over the mixture and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cook on low for 240-360 minutes or high for 120-180 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Shred or slice the chicken in the pot before serving.

Notes

Cooking on low for longer allows the flavors to meld beautifully. Use quality ingredients for the best flavor.
