A delightful dinner idea featuring crispy chicken breasts paired with a creamy, garlicky sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 small to medium chicken breasts (or 2 large halved)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup light cream or heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning or oregano
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup spinach, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the cream and stir continuously, adjusting heat to prevent boiling.
- Add Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese, mixing until smooth.
- If using spinach, stir it in and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the cooked chicken to the pan, spooning sauce over it.
- Let it simmer for one more minute, then remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
Pound the chicken for even cooking, use fresh herbs for better flavor, and consider alternatives for cream if desired.
