Description

A delightful dish combining crispy fried chicken with a sweet and tangy orange sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour mixed with a pinch of salt in one bowl, and the beaten eggs in another.
  3. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly with flour.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers (about 350°F).
  5. Fry the chicken pieces in batches, cooking each side until golden brown (approximately 4-5 minutes per side).
  6. In a separate saucepan, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and ginger powder. Simmer the mixture until it slightly thickens (about 5 minutes).
  7. Toss the fried chicken pieces with the orange sauce until they are well-coated.
  8. Serve immediately over rice or noodles for a satisfying meal.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and garlic beforehand. Maintain oil temperature while frying for best results.
