Description

Crispy Carrot Fries are a healthier alternative to traditional fries, providing a satisfying crunch and packed with nutrients, perfect as a snack or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 lb carrots
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • Finely minced parsley (to serve)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and line 2 – 13×18″ baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the carrots into thin sticks, aiming for uniform sizes for even cooking.
  3. Place the carrot fries in a large bowl and toss with the cornstarch until they’re lightly coated.
  4. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Toss again until all the spices are evenly distributed.
  5. Drizzle the avocado oil over the coated fries, and give them one final toss.
  6. Divide the carrot fries between the two baking sheets, making sure none of the fries touch each other.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove and carefully turn each fry over.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Serve with finely minced parsley sprinkled on top.

Notes

Ensure the carrots are evenly cut and do not overcrowd the baking sheets for maximum crispiness.
