Description

Rich and creamy scalloped potatoes, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of butter for greasing
  • Fresh herbs (like thyme or parsley) for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the potatoes in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the cream, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  6. Add the remaining potatoes on top, pour the rest of the cream mixture, and top with the last half of cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.
  10. Garnish with fresh herbs.
