Rich and creamy scalloped potatoes, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds of potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of butter for greasing
- Fresh herbs (like thyme or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the potatoes in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix together the cream, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle with half of the cheese.
- Add the remaining potatoes on top, pour the rest of the cream mixture, and top with the last half of cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs.

Ensure to slice the potatoes thinly for even cooking. You can customize the cheese and add meats or vegetables for variation.
