Description

A comforting dish featuring juicy chicken thighs smothered in a rich, creamy sauce made with garlic, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano/thyme)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season them evenly with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken thighs in the skillet for 3–4 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken and set it aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add in the minced garlic and cook it for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over their tops to ensure they’re covered.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for approximately 25–30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Before serving, garnish the thighs with fresh parsley or dill for a burst of freshness.

Notes

Feel free to adjust seasonings and try different herbs or cheeses for added flavors.
