Description
A comforting dish featuring juicy chicken thighs smothered in a rich, creamy sauce made with garlic, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 6 bone-in skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano/thyme)
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry and season them evenly with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken thighs in the skillet for 3–4 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add in the minced garlic and cook it for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over their tops to ensure they’re covered.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for approximately 25–30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Before serving, garnish the thighs with fresh parsley or dill for a burst of freshness.
