Description

A creamy and flavorful orzo dish packed with garlic and Parmesan cheese, perfect as a side or main course.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook orzo according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add vegetable broth and bring to a simmer. Lower heat and stir in the heavy cream.
  4. Gradually incorporate the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Return the cooked orzo to the pot, stirring to coat the pasta with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately, topped with fresh parsley for garnish.

Notes

Don’t overcook the orzo; use freshly grated cheese for the best results.
