Description

A rich and flavorful dish combining tender steak, cheesy tortellini, and a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for cozy dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest.
  4. In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add the shredded parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts and creates a creamy sauce.
  7. Slice the steak into strips and add it to the sauce along with the cooked tortellini. Toss everything to coat well.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.

Notes

For a more intense flavor, marinate the steak in spices for a few hours before cooking. Consider adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
