Description

Discover the ultimate party snack that combines tender seafood and melty cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lb cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup queso dip (mild or spicy)
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a large bowl, combine the finely chopped shrimp, shredded crab meat, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, softened cream cheese, queso dip, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well until it forms a creamy, cheesy seafood filling that bursts with flavor.
  2. Assemble the queso rolls: Take about 2 to 3 tablespoons of the filling and place it in the center of each tortilla. Roll each tortilla tightly and secure with a toothpick to keep the filling inside.
  3. Fry the queso rolls: Heat the butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the rolled tortillas and fry until they turn golden and crunchy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Carefully remove the toothpicks once cooked. Plate them up and drizzle warm queso over the top for extra indulgence. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro for a burst of flavor and serve immediately while they’re still gooey and irresistible!

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and do not overfill the tortillas. Consider using a nonstick pan to prevent sticking.
