Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- Spread the remaining 1/4 cup of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, use lean ground beef. Customize with vegetables or spices to suit your taste.
