Description
Delightful Cinnamon Twists made with flaky puff pastry and a sweet cinnamon sugar filling, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into strips.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.
- Brush the pastry strips with melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over them.
- Twist each strip and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the twisted pastries with an egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Keep puff pastry cold for a better rise. Use enough butter for flavor and adherence of sugar. Adjust cinnamon and sugar to taste.
