Description

A delightful and addictive sweet and salty treat perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • Sea salt (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring until boiling.
  4. Pour the mixture over the crackers, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Let them sit for a couple of minutes until melted, then spread the chocolate evenly.
  7. Top with toffee bits and sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  8. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Can be refrigerated or frozen.
