A comforting dish that combines classic meatloaf flavors with gooey cheese, perfect for families and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased casserole dish.
- Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until cooked through. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a cheesier finish, add extra cheese on top before baking. Let the casserole sit for a few minutes after baking to make slicing easier.
