Ingredients
- 12 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup cooked crab meat
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1 cup queso cheese, melted
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together crab meat, shrimp, melted queso cheese, cream cheese, green onions, lime juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and warm the corn tortillas to make them pliable.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the crab and shrimp mixture onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the taquitos until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
To store leftover taquitos, let them cool completely and then place them in an airtight container. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to regain their crispiness. For added flavor, feel free to incorporate spices like chili powder or cumin.
