Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the brownie mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs until smooth. Pour into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for about 25 minutes.
  4. While the brownies are baking, prepare the cheesecake layer. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  5. Add the eggs and mix until just combined.
  6. Once the brownie layer is done, pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownies and smooth it out.
  7. Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the center is set.
  8. Allow the cheesecake to cool, then drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with chocolate chips if using.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight before serving.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Don’t overmix the cheesecake batter; mix just until combined for a smooth texture.
