Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, combine the brownie mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs until smooth. Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake for about 25 minutes.
- While the brownies are baking, prepare the cheesecake layer. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
- Add the eggs and mix until just combined.
- Once the brownie layer is done, pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownies and smooth it out.
- Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the center is set.
- Allow the cheesecake to cool, then drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with chocolate chips if using.
- Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight before serving.
Notes
Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Don’t overmix the cheesecake batter; mix just until combined for a smooth texture.
