A decadent dessert combining fudgy brownies and creamy cheesecake topped with sweet caramel.
Ingredients
- 1 package of brownie mix (additional ingredients as directed)
- 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Mix the brownie batter according to package instructions.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake as directed.
- Cool the brownie base completely.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C).
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, about 2 minutes.
- Add vanilla, eggs, sour cream, and heavy cream and blend until smooth.
- Pour batter over the cooled brownies and drizzle half of the caramel sauce.
- Swirl caramel into the cheesecake batter with a knife.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until set but slightly jiggly.
- Let cheesecake cool in the oven, then to room temperature.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Garnish with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and chocolate shavings.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is softened for a smooth texture. Allow cooling gradually to prevent cracks.
