Description

A decadent dessert combining fudgy brownies and creamy cheesecake topped with sweet caramel.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of brownie mix (additional ingredients as directed)
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Mix the brownie batter according to package instructions.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake as directed.
  5. Cool the brownie base completely.
  6. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C).
  7. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  8. Add vanilla, eggs, sour cream, and heavy cream and blend until smooth.
  9. Pour batter over the cooled brownies and drizzle half of the caramel sauce.
  10. Swirl caramel into the cheesecake batter with a knife.
  11. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until set but slightly jiggly.
  12. Let cheesecake cool in the oven, then to room temperature.
  13. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  14. Garnish with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and chocolate shavings.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for a smooth texture. Allow cooling gradually to prevent cracks.
