A creamy and easy-to-eat appetizer that combines soft cheese, fresh tomatoes, and basil, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 6.5 oz Alouette Cheese with herbs (or other soft cheese spread like Boursin)
- ½ cup tomatoes, chopped
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Balsamic vinaigrette glaze or reduction
- Pita chips, crackers, or thinly sliced baguette
Instructions
- Spread the soft cheese evenly over the center of a large plate, leaving about a 1/4 inch around the edge empty.
- Evenly sprinkle and spread the chopped tomatoes over the cheese, followed by the fresh basil.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze back and forth over the whole plate.
- Serve with pita chips, crackers, or spread on thin slices of baguette.
Notes
For an extra kick, consider using cherry tomatoes, and feel free to experiment with different herbs like oregano or parsley.
