Ingredients
- 1 package Little Smokies (mini smoked sausages)
- 1 package regular-cut bacon (cut in half)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Cut the bacon slices in half.
- Wrap each Little Smokie with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Pour the brown sugar into a zip-top bag, add bacon-wrapped smokies, seal, and shake to coat.
- Arrange the coated smokies on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle any leftover brown sugar on top and add black pepper if desired.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until bacon is crispy and sugar is caramelized.
- For extra crispiness, switch to broil for 1–2 minutes, watching closely.
- Let cool slightly before serving and enjoy warm.
