Ingredients

  • 10 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cooked sausage or bacon, crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 4 cups cubed bread (day-old works best)
  • Optional: diced tomatoes, spinach, or other vegetables of your choice


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the cubed bread evenly across the bottom.
  4. Sprinkle the cooked sausage or bacon over the bread.
  5. Add the diced bell peppers and onions on top of the meat.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
  7. Top with shredded cheese and any optional ingredients you like.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
