Description

A delightful stir-fry dish combining tender chicken and colorful vegetables with the invigorating heat of black pepper, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken breast, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the hot oil, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the marinated chicken into the pan. Stir frequently and cook until the chicken is browned and fully cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Toss in the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot. Stir-fry everything together for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Serve the stir-fry hot over a bed of cooked rice.

Notes

For a sweeter touch, add honey or brown sugar. Also consider using shrimp, tofu, or different veggies based on personal taste.
