Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, eggs, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped bell pepper if using.
  3. Mix everything together until well combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top of the meatloaf for added flavor.
