Description

Deliciously warm and chewy chocolate chip cookies, perfect for sharing or enjoying alone.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla and eggs until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop large scoops of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer storage. For chewier cookies, remove from oven slightly before fully baked.
