Description
Juicy and flavorful BBQ chicken that’s easy to make, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the grill for direct cooking at high heat, around 450 degrees F.
- Brush the cooking grates clean to ensure nothing sticks.
- Drizzle the chicken breasts with extra virgin olive oil, rubbing it over the meat for a nice coating.
- Season generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Place the chicken breasts on the hot grill, cover, and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until they easily release from the grates.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
- Baste the chicken breasts with BBQ sauce, flip them, and cook for 2 minutes on each side.
- Repeat this process until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Allowing the chicken to rest helps seal in the juices for a moist result. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
