Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 kilograms beef
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 fresh lemons, juiced
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 can liver spread
  • 3 star anise
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 tablespoons margarine
  • 60 grams grated cheese
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 beef cube
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in lemon juice, soy sauce, and ground black pepper for about one hour.
  2. Strain the marinade and set aside.
  3. Fry potatoes until golden and cooked through, then set aside.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in margarine until golden brown. Add diced onion and sliced bell peppers, cooking until soft.
  5. Mix in bay leaves and tomato paste, sauté for an additional two minutes.
  6. Add marinated beef and sauté until browned on all sides.
  7. Pour in liver spread, tomato sauce, and reserved marinade; sauté for five minutes.
  8. Add water and beef cube, cook until beef is tender, about one to two hours.
  9. Incorporate star anise and brown sugar, cooking until the sauce thickens.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with fried potatoes.

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate the beef longer. Use fresh ingredients for enhanced taste.
