A delicious combination of crispy tortilla chips topped with BBQ chicken, cheese, and fresh ingredients, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup BBQ sauce of choice
- 1 (14-oz) bag of tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup sliced pickled jalapeños
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Fresh tomato salsa
- Easiest guacamole
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine the shredded chicken with 2/3 cup of BBQ sauce in a medium bowl, ensuring everything is well coated.
- Layer half of the tortilla chips on a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish.
- Top the chips with half of the BBQ chicken mixture.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese, diced red onion, and sliced pickled jalapeños over the chicken and chips.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining tortilla chips, BBQ chicken, cheese, red onion, and jalapeños.
- Drizzle the remaining 1/3 cup of BBQ sauce over the top.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the nachos are heated throughout.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped cilantro, fresh tomato salsa, guacamole, and sour cream (if using).
- Allow the nachos to cool for a few minutes before serving, and enjoy them while warm.
Notes
Choose quality BBQ sauce and a generous amount of cheese for the best flavor. Feel free to experiment with toppings.
