A delightful fusion of rich brownies and creamy banana pudding, perfect for family gatherings and casual get-togethers.
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix (or homemade for a 9×13 pan)
- Ingredients required for the mix (eggs, oil, water)
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant banana pudding mix
- 1½ cups cold milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½–2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip) or homemade whipped cream
- 1–1½ cups crushed vanilla wafers
- Banana slices (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions or a homemade recipe. Bake in a greased 9×13-inch pan as directed. Allow the brownies to cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, cold milk, and vanilla extract until thickened (about 2 minutes). Refrigerate the pudding for 5 minutes.
- Once the brownies are completely cool, spread the banana pudding evenly over the top of the brownies.
- Gently spread the whipped topping over the banana pudding layer and sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers on top.
- Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours to set.
- Once chilled, cut into squares, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
Let brownies cool completely to maintain layer separation. Consider making your own whipped cream for a fresher taste.
