Ingredients
- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook ziti pasta according to package directions; drain.
- In a large skillet, cook onion and garlic until softened, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked ziti with the beef mixture and ricotta cheese.
- Transfer half of the mixture to a baking dish, top with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Add the remaining ziti mixture and top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach. Try different cheeses for a unique twist.
