Description

Asian Chicken Wraps are a delightful fusion of flavors that are both healthy and satisfying, combining tender shredded chicken with crisp vegetables in a soft tortilla.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage (green or Napa)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 large flour or whole wheat tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, julienned carrot, sliced green onions, and chopped cilantro. Toss them together gently.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic to create a flavorful dressing.
  3. Pour the dressing over the slaw mixture, tossing until the vegetables are evenly coated.
  4. Lay out your tortillas and place a generous portion of shredded chicken in the center of each tortilla.
  5. Top the chicken with the dressed slaw mixture and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  6. Roll the tortillas tightly around the fillings, folding in the sides as you go. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

Wraps can be served cold or warm. For a more substantial wrap, roll diagonally. Look for variations by adding fruits or adjustments to the dressing.
