Description
A hearty and comforting meatloaf made with a blend of ground beef and pork, seasoned with herbs and topped with a sweet and tangy glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, milk, eggs, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix additional ketchup with some brown sugar for the glaze, then spread it evenly on top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or parsley. Use lean meat to avoid a greasy texture.
