Description
Delicious and nutritious protein-packed bagels made easily in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt (optional)
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
- 1 egg (optional)
- Toppings: everything seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds
Instructions
- Add the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt to a medium bowl and combine.
- Make a well in the center and add the cottage cheese. Mix until it forms a chunky dough.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 sections and roll each into a log to form bagels.
- Whisk the egg and brush the mixture on the bagels. Add desired toppings.
- Preheat the air fryer to 300°F. Spray the basket and place the bagels inside. Cook for 15-17 minutes until golden.
- Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. Knead the dough for a couple of minutes for a great texture.
