Description

Delicious and nutritious protein-packed bagels made easily in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Toppings: everything seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. Add the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt to a medium bowl and combine.
  2. Make a well in the center and add the cottage cheese. Mix until it forms a chunky dough.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 sections and roll each into a log to form bagels.
  5. Whisk the egg and brush the mixture on the bagels. Add desired toppings.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F. Spray the basket and place the bagels inside. Cook for 15-17 minutes until golden.
  7. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. Knead the dough for a couple of minutes for a great texture.
