Description

A delightful twist on traditional desserts, combining cinnamon, sugar, and warm apple pie filling wrapped in crispy dough, these Air Fryer Churro Apple Pie Bombs are both fun to make and healthier than fried versions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1 can Grands Canned biscuits
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cut the apple pie filling into small pieces for easier stuffing.
  2. Separate the biscuits and pull each into two layers to create larger circles.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 5 minutes.
  4. Spoon apple filling into the center of each dough circle without overfilling.
  5. Pinch the sides of the biscuit dough to seal and roll into balls.
  6. Place the bombs in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
  7. Cook for 8 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Melt the butter in a bowl and mix the sugar and cinnamon in another bowl.
  9. Dip each bomb in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  10. Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly and repeat with remaining bombs.
  11. Serve warm or allow to cool to room temperature.

Notes

Keep them small to avoid bursting during cooking. You can customize the filling with other flavors, like chocolate or berries.
