Description

A delicious and easy-to-make dish that captures the smoky, tangy flavors of traditional barbecue without the need for a grill.

Ingredients

  • 4 small chicken breasts (6 ounces each)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel to ensure that the seasoning adheres well.
  3. Rub the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, making sure to cover all sides.
  4. Air fry the chicken for 8 minutes. After the first cooking interval, flip the chicken and cook for another 8 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, baste the chicken with BBQ sauce, then return it to the air fryer basket. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize slightly.

Notes

For even juicier chicken, consider using bone-in pieces or thicker cuts. Always check for doneness using a meat thermometer.
