Description
A delicious and easy-to-make dish that captures the smoky, tangy flavors of traditional barbecue without the need for a grill.
Ingredients
- 4 small chicken breasts (6 ounces each)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel to ensure that the seasoning adheres well.
- Rub the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, making sure to cover all sides.
- Air fry the chicken for 8 minutes. After the first cooking interval, flip the chicken and cook for another 8 minutes.
- Once cooked, baste the chicken with BBQ sauce, then return it to the air fryer basket. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the sauce to caramelize slightly.
Notes
For even juicier chicken, consider using bone-in pieces or thicker cuts. Always check for doneness using a meat thermometer.
